Try Line Centre TV

With the ever increasing popularity of digital photography and movies, the Try Line Centre is ever expanding its capability to provide youngsters with the opportunity to develop their creative.

talents. Who knows, the next Spielberg may come from Rotherham!

More and more these multi media tools are being used in schools and colleges, not only because they are fun and engaging but impact on a wide range of skills; Personal confidence, team skills, I.T, and with the planning or “storyboarding” of the project all manner of skills are called upon.

The main IT suite within the Try Line Centre is equipped with fifteen networked PC’s and a “master” PC connected to a large interactive white board. This is ideal for demonstrating software, using the software with a group and of course the grand presentation of the finished project!

Our second room is also equipped with projector and whiteboard which can be linked to one of our high powered “Alienware” laptops for video or music work. Also in this room is a dedicated “Alienware” cutting edge PC equipped to the highest standard for video editing.

This quieter room is ideal for conducting interviews, many a Rotherham Titan has emerged shaking from the incisive questioning from their ten year old interviewer under the glare of the cameras!

Along with the great fun and learning potential of our video capability, we are now able to create the theme music and soundtrack to the film too! Again this engages children in many ways as they learn to build up the tracks of music into their own song, getting them to think how sounds, effects and timings can work (or not) together. The final track can then be burnt to CD for the children to keep, having designed their own packaging and artwork for the disc. We also have a similar package for younger dj’s especially aimed at the primary age group
