It is with great sadness that we announce that the centre is due to close on May 6th 2011. May we take this opportunity to thank schools, partners, mentors and most of all the children and their families for making the centre the success that it was.

Based at the Clifton Lane Sports Ground home to Yorkshire's number 1 Rugby Union Club, the Rotherham Titans, we have been providing after school study support to to both primary and secondary schools in Rotherham since September 2003 as part of the Playing for Success scheme.
The Playing for Success initiative is a partnership between the Government (DCFS), the Local Education Authority and Professional Sports Clubs. Study support centres have been set up to allow pupils to learn after school and during school holidays.
Research has shown that these centres offer quality study support opportunities which are an excellent, cost effective means of raising standards and improving levels of pupil motivation. As well as this, it encourages positive attitudes to independent learning, increases self-confidence and sustains motivation.
